You Plus Us ("You Plus Us," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website youplusus.com and provides web design, local SEO, and reputation-management services to businesses, primarily in the Coachella Valley, California. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It includes a specific section describing how our review management product, The Review System, accesses and uses data from Google Business Profile through Google APIs.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you contact us, request a proposal, or become a client, we collect information such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, and any details you share about your business.

Information collected automatically on our website. Like most websites, we may collect standard log and analytics data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page) to understand site usage and improve our services.

Client business data. When you engage us for services, we process information about your business that is necessary to deliver those services — for example, your Google Business Profile information, customer reviews, and appointment or contact details you authorize us to access through connected platforms.

2. Google Business Profile data and The Review System

The Review System is our productized service that helps a business respond to its Google reviews. With the business owner's authorization, it reads new reviews and publishes owner-approved replies on the business's behalf.

Google API scope we request. The Review System requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage scope. We connect only to Google Business Profile accounts and locations that the authorizing user manages and explicitly grants us access to.

What we access. Through this scope we access:

  • The business's Google Business Profile account and location information.
  • Reviews left on the business's Google Business Profile, including the reviewer's display name, star rating, and review text.
  • The ability to post and update replies to those reviews.

How we use it. We use this access solely to:

  • Detect new reviews so the business can respond promptly.
  • Generate a draft reply for the business owner to review.
  • Publish a reply to a review only after the business owner has reviewed and approved it. We do not auto-publish replies without the owner's prior, specific, and express consent.

We do not use Google Business Profile data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to build profiles for purposes unrelated to providing the service to the authorizing business.

Limited Use disclosure. You Plus Us's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our services and website.
  • Communicate with you about proposals, projects, and support.
  • Read reviews and publish owner-approved review replies (The Review System).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With service providers that help us operate, under agreements that limit their use of the information to providing services to us (see Section 7).
  • With the business you authorize — for clients, the data we process belongs to and is shared with that business.
  • When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain information only as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. A client may request that we disconnect our access to their Google Business Profile and delete the related data we hold at any time by emailing us at the address below. Revoking our access in your Google Account permissions immediately stops any further access.

6. Your choices and rights

  • You can revoke The Review System's access to your Google Business Profile at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us.
  • You can opt out of any SMS communications by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help.

7. Service providers we use

We rely on the following processors, each governed by its own privacy and security commitments: Google (Business Profile API), Notion (records), n8n (workflow automation), Twilio (SMS), Anthropic (AI-assisted draft generation), Cloudflare (hosting), and Outscraper (review data). We share with each only the data needed for its function.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including scoped credentials and signed, verified communication between systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date above.
